Name of a Company Become Most Important Issue for Company Registration in India (Delhi)

1.   Proposed Company Name containing the word “National”

Name of a company no more relates to special word of the country. Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) through its Circular No. 2/2014 vide File No. 2/2/2014-CL-V has restricted to use the Word “National” for Company Registration in India in the name of Company. MCA has come to knowledge that many companies using the word Nation in its name, therefore Ministry of Corporate Affairs restricted the word “National” in their name. It is being intimated my MCA that No company shall be registered with the name containing the word “National” as part of its title unless it is a Central / State Government company.

2.   Proposed Company Name containing the word “Bank”

Similarly No company shall be allowed to be registered with the word “Bank” unless such company produce “No Objection Certificate” from Reserve Bank of India (RBI). That means the word “Bank” shall be allowed only for Banking Company otherwise RBI shall in no case will give “No Objection Certificate” to any company other than banking company.

3.   Proposed Company Name containing the word “Exchange or Stock Exchange”

Considering the above fact, similarly No company shall be registered having the word “exchange or stock exchange” in its name unless promoters of such company will produce “No Objection Certificate from Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
